Top 10 Ikea hacks I’ve seen recently, part 2

My last blog post on Ikea hacks ended up being one of my most popular, it seems that we all love a clever bit of Ikea modification.

Here are some of the most creative ones I’ve seen recently.

1. Arched built-in Billy bookcase

If you like the look of built-ins but not the price, a Billy bookcase hack might be the answer. I’m loving this dark green version with arched detail.

2. Painted Malm chest of drawers

Malm drawers on their own: a bit boring. Malm drawers painted the same colour as the wall and with custom drawer pulls: gorgeous.

3. Pax walk in wardrobe

I’m a huge fan of the Pax wardrobe and all it’s Komplement storage accessories. I definitely admire the creativity of this hack; facing two towards each other and creating a walk in wardrobe.

4. Trofast desk

Trofast is a great addition to a child’s room for flexible storage. It’s easily hackable and can be painted in whatever colour you like, I love this hack which combines it with a desk.

5. Billy bookcase with cane doors

Another Billy bookcase, this time it’s been painted a lovely greige with some cane detail doors.

6. Mosslanda gallery wall

I love love love a Mosslanda picture ledge - they’re great for adding some interest to a wall and give the flexibility of being able to switch up your prints regularly. Painting them the same colour as the wall looks so good.

7. Another Pax walk in wardrobe

This Pax wardrobe looks completely custom and high end thanks to the dark colour, wallpapered ceiling and handle detail.

8. Bestä sideboard

Bestä storage units already come in about 40 different colours and styles, but this hack takes it up a notch further by adding some door detailing.

9. Fluted Rast bedside table

This simple addition of some fluting to Rast drawers takes it from boring to special.

10. Kallax montessori toddler wardrobe

And finally, one of the most creative Kallax hacks I’ve seen is this really cute montessori toddler wardrobe.
