10 bedroom colour scheme ideas

If you’re looking for a colour scheme for your bedroom, then look no further because I’ve put together 10 cracking ones for you. Enjoy!

Calming and tonal blue

Blue is a great colour for a bedroom because it’s a calming colour, promoting relaxation and tranquility. Layer different tones of blue in a bedroom to add some depth and dimension to the space.

Earthy pink

Pink doesn’t just have to be for girls rooms, forget magenta and flamingo pink (unless that’s your thing) and opt towards more sophisticated shades and lighter tones. Dusky pink, plaster pink and pinks with grey or brown undertones can look gorgeous and mature.

Grey with pops of colour

If you’re worried about grey looking a little bland, then pops of colour will bring another level to your design. Grey and yellow go together fantastically.

Dark and luxurious

I’m a huge fan of a dark bedroom, it feels like you’re going to sleep in a cosy cave and I just love it. Use rich jewel tones for an extra luxurious feel.

Sage green

Sage green is a lovely versatile colour, and since it’s a lighter and more muted green it creates a calming and soothing atmosphere; perfect for a bedroom.

Serene white and brown

Keep it simple and go for a white scheme, with pops of brown for a calming, modern and Scandi style bedroom.

Green represents nature, calmness, growth and freshness, and going darker on the walls with a green can look fabulous.

Greige

Greige (grey beige) might not sound like the most luxurious or exciting of colours, but it is a lovely calming neutral that can work beautifully in bedrooms.

Monochrome geometric

If you’re a fan of pattern then a monochrome palette might work well for you - I particularly love the use of white walls and stripes.

Pink and red

Finally, and not for the faint hearted, pink and red can look lovely in a bedroom too. Red isn’t recommended for a bedroom as it’s not the most calming colour, but used as an accent it can look really special.

So… which is your favourite? I think mine is dark and luxurious but I also love the monochrome stripes. Oh and the white and brown. And the pink… I’m hoping today’s blog has provided you with some inspiration because it certainly has done for me!
